PL-3150 is a clear overlaminate — a second film we run over the top of a printed sticker, not a print media itself. It's what turns "the ink will hold up for years" into "the ink will hold up for years, plus a few more." It's super clear, and it doesn't yellow or cloud with age, so it protects the print without changing how it looks. We keep gloss and matte in stock all the time; Spectrum Holographic needs extra lead time — see Substance's current holographic effects here.

Where we use it

This is the base laminate on every Ultradurable Sticker we print.

It's a great all-around sticker that doesn't add too much thickness, with good abrasion resistance. For more abrasion-resistant options, check out our super-ultradurable Ultracurve 1500 and 1500S options.

Thickness

70 micron — thin enough that it disappears once it's down.

You're not looking at the laminate, you're looking through it. The print stays exactly as sharp as the day it was printed.

The rating

Rated to extend UV life by about 3 years on top of whatever the ink underneath was already good for.

Stack it on Eco-Sol's 3-year unlaminated rating, and you're talking 6 years outdoors before the sun begins to break down the ink. Here in the Pacific Northwest? We now pronounce you person and sticker.

Why it's clear

100% polymeric, with UV absorbers built into the film itself, not just coated on top.

Fast wet-out means no tonal shift when it goes on — colors underneath read true, not washed out or yellowed.

Best for

Flat to mildly curved surfaces — signage, decals, anything that isn't wrapping around a fender.

For tighter curves and rougher rides, that's Ultracurve territory, not this one.
